1 Unique Way to Create Your Own Turnabout Stamp
Happy Craftersday, Crafters! Today I am excited to be writing about the We 'R' Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced. I bought this about a month ago and have been using it alternately with my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. I like them both but there are some definite advantages to the Precision Press.
The unique feature specific to the Precision plate is the ability to turn the top plate. As soon as I saw that I knew I would be designing my own turnabout stamps. If you don't know what a turnabout stamp is, click this link. As far as I can tell, turnabout stamps are unique to Concord and 9th, and they do a great job designing some stellar stamps.
When I made my template I kind of just experimented with stamp placement until I was satisfied. The most important part to keep in mind though is to look out for overlap. That can be a really neat design feature for polygon stamps like circles or squares but not so much for text. I like how my background came out using the Ms. Sparkle & Co. Paperie Arrow Stamps and my Wild Honey, Fired Brick and Cracked Pistachio Distressed Oxides.
I die cut some red card stock using my Pink and Main Arch die to create a space for my sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment and the hearts using Recollections Gold Detail Embossing Powder and popped it up using Darice foam adhesive.
