It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Crafty Friends! Mariah Carey is due for her yearly glow up and all us crafters are busy thinking about all the handmade goodies we are going to wait until the last minute to make. Don’t wait too long!

For today’s card I am using the Lawn Fawn Winter Unicorn, an oldie but goodie. I started by folding an A2 pre-scored card on the score line. Using the largest die from the Pink and Main Stitched Rectangle set I cut out a decorative cover for my card base. Next, I cut a gold mat that had the same length of the card but not the same width. When I adhere the mat, I make sure it is in the middle leaving the decorative paper to peek out on the sides.
Next I cut a piece of white card stock to fit over the gold and do some Distress Ink Blending. I start my blend with Mermaid Lagoon and use a light hand so I don’t create marks that I can’t blend out. I’ll do the same with Blueprint Sketch. When I get the blend where I want it, I go over the edges with Memento Nautical Blue Ink.
I left the bottom white so that I could stamp my unicorn. I plan on doing some coloring with alcohol markers so i stamp in memento. For my sentiments I use versamark with gold embossing powder and fine charcoal embossing powder.
I want to create the look of snow so I flick water on my ink and dab it up with a napkin. Once dry, I’ll make random dots with my white gel pen and put some crystal drops down in Simply White and Morning Dew.
That’s it for me. Share this post on social media using the links below. All the materials are linked below for your convenience. Have a great day!
