Watchnight Celebration Card
Happy Craftersday, Crafty Friends! I’m so excited to be sharing a new card with you this week. This is the last card of 2018 so I wanted to create something shiny and meaningful. My card today is a celebration of Watchnight. If you don’t know what that is, I wrote a short post about it here.
I use affiliate links where possible. Please see disclosure for details.
To make this card I used the Altenew Faithful Feathers Stamp and Die Bundle and the Altenew Fine Frames Rectangle Die. My card is standard A2 size so I cut a piece of 80 lb Neenah white paper in half and then folded it in half to make my card base.
Next, I flicked some Altenew Jet Black Crisp dye ink on to my card to get the spots in the background. Then I ran my gold cardstock with my Rectangle Fine frames die and got 10 super thin gold frames. I put 8 of them to the side and picked the 2 I liked.
Now, using my Faithful Feather die, I just ran it in my Spellbinder with black cardstock. This gave me the perfect little feathers. I stamped the stems with Versamark and heat embossed with detail gold embossing powder by Recollections.
I wanted my feathers to have a little more depth so I used my blender foams with some black ink and went around the edges of my feathers. When finished, I adhered my feathers and my frames in the arrangement pictured above then did some more flicks with Gold Perfect Pearls. For an extra bit of shine I put a small scoop of the gold Perfect Pearl in my mini mister and spritzed until I was happy with the results.
Thanks for reading. I have linked all the supplies used at the bottom of this post. Have a happy New Year, everyone!
